LETTER FROM THE NEW CHAIR
Dear Chamber Members:
I am excited to work with the Eau Claire Chamber staff under the very capable leadership of Bob McCoy, the Board of Directors, committees and volunteers, to make a difference in the Chippewa Valley this coming year. We have a full agenda!
The new Strategic Initiatives that are outlined in this plan were developed at a full day retreat of the Board, committee chairs and staff and focused on what you told us you want and need to prosper in the coming years. Your input is very important to us and we will be responsive. We want to be sure we are doing all we can to support member businesses and organizations by identifying issues and needs and researching programs and services that will help them prosper.
Two new special initiatives are particularly exciting: The Chamber’s Green Initiative and Worksite Wellness Initiative. Encouraging environmental consciousness and a healthy workforce will help keep our community a great place to work and live and help improve the quality of life for everyone. I hope you will participate!
The Chamber staff, the Board of Directors, committees and volunteers are committed to ensuring we exceed the expectations of all members. If you haven’t been involved in your Chamber this past year, now is the time to get involved. If you attend one or more of the member events such as Eggs and Issues, Business After Hours or Business Connection, participate in one or more of the numerous educational offerings or participate in the Annual Business Salutes Eau Claire golf outing, you are benefiting from the Chamber’s opportunities to network and grow. Together we will continue to build a successful, sustainable business environment where you, your business and our community prospers. I look forward to working with you!
Sincerely,
John Dickey
Chairman of the Board
