Young Professionals of the Chippewa Valley Membership
Membership in the Young Professionals of the Chippewa Valley is open to any professional between the ages of 21 and 39. Membership is discounted for professionals that work for a business or organization that is a member of he Eau Claire or Chippewa Falls Chamber of Commerce. We have members from all different professions including: accountants, bankers, event planners, financial representatives, teachers, chiropractors, real estate agents, university professionals and more.
Annual membership cost is:
$15.00 (full-time student over the age of 21, educational institution must be a member of the Eau Claire Chamber, please include copy of student ID with application, if you pay the student rate you will be listed as a student, not under your business)
$40.00 (Employer is a member of the Eau Claire Chamber or Chippewa Falls Chamber)
$100.00 (Employer is not a member of the Eau Claire Chamber or Chippewa Falls Chamber)

YPCV’s membership mix is the organization’s greatest strength. In a survey conducted of the YPCV members in January 2011, the following information was compiled:

While we target ages 21-39, 65% of YPCV members fall between the ages of 21-30.
Relationship Status:
44% are married
37% are single/divorced
Gender:
57% are female
43% are male
Political Affiliation:
30% are Democrats
34% are Republicans
93% of the members vote in national elections
69% in state elections and 47% in local elections
Only 7% do not vote
Work:
Members expand 15 industry categories ranging from financial, healthcare
and professional/business services with the largest percentage from financial.
26% are employed by companies with 2-24 employees
21% are employed by companies with 25-99 employees
21% are employed by companies with 250-999 employees
90% of YPCV members work in Eau Claire
Education:
68% hold a bachelor’s degree
14% hold a masters degree
Origins:
27% are “lifers” and have always lived in the area
22% are considered a “transplant,” attended college here and stayed
18% are considered "stickers" moved here over 2 years ago
17% are "born again", born in the area, moved away and came back
9% are “newbies,” moved here in the last 2 years
55% expect to stay in Eau Claire over 10 years

22% of YPCV members volunteer on 1 community board of directors/committee
76% of YPCV members donate 1-5 hours per month to community service
